The last two years have wrought upheaval for marketers as customer behavior has changed dramatically and employees on their teams have reached burnout status. Shrinking budgets, exhausted employees, and an uncertain future would seem like a recipe for disaster, but a small segment of marketers (17%) sees it as an opportunity. These “Thrivers,” are motivated by the opportunity to pivot in lock-step with their customers—to serve them in ways that are smarter, immediate, and more meaningful.
Internally, this segment is motivated by the changes around them to discover greater empathy in their work. For them, connecting with the customer means talking with them authentically, with messages that have purpose and real-time value.
